'Lady Jasper' is my debut project and a short musical biography of my life so far. I went to Lisbon to produce dereck d.a.c.'s upcoming project and became really comfortable with crate digging and sampling the material. When I got back home to Brighton I locked myself in my bedroom and wrote the whole of 'Lady Jasper' in that week alone. I wanted to take inspiration from the underground Hip-Hop scene and give a more soulful approach with it by singing over the beats.
